Big Brothers Big Sisters of Calgary and Area (BBBS) creates and nurtures life-changing mentoring relationships for children and youth in and around Calgary who are struggling with societal barriers and facing adversities in their lives. With the support of a caring volunteer mentor, the risks associated with these adversities are reduced or even avoided, allowing youth to reach their full potential. Children who have been mentored through BBBS do better in school, go on to successful careers, give back to their communities, and live happier, healthier lives. Visit bbbscalgary.ca to learn more.
What is the Pitch N Putt for Kids Mentorship
The Pitch N Putt for Kids Mentorship is an annual golf fundraiser with the goal of raising more than $25,000 for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Calgary. This year's event will be held on Friday June 8, 2018 at the McCall Lake Par 3, 9 Hole Golf Course in Calgary, Alberta. $25,000 raised will get 20 kids off the wait-list. The Pitch N Putt for kids is operated by the Canadian Progress Club - Calgary Bow River (cpcbowriver.com), a Calgary service club who has committed itself to the community since 1977, raising over $5,000,000 for various charities during that time.
